Winter here, even if the Gregorian calendar says that the beginning of winter falls on December 20/21. He is there and we are in his energy. We come out of the end of autumn at the same time and it’s about dying, renewal and rebirth. In doing so we go into dying and the renewal of the cycle and then into rebirth, but it is a process. Dying and renewal are in the service of rebirth. We have this opportunity every winter cycle to let go and let go and let go.

We are entering this winter period and this time is also called the Dark Mother; not dark as evil, but dark as mysterious. What happens when the trees let go of their leaves? They fall to the earth and compost there and the earth starts the renewal process. We can’t see it with our eyes, but it happens and it’s mysterious. Every year anew. And in spring the renewal happens and it is a miracle with which beauty nature shows itself from new. We’re not worried about it, we kind of know this is going to happen, we trust it.

If we apply this to ourselves: what wants to fall away from us should fall away from us so that we can prepare ourselves for the new. The pain we feel and express and share we can release in the arms of the Dark Mother. It can hold and nourish us and help us see what we can let go of that no longer serves us. It’s a mysterious process. Can we wholeheartedly trust the energy of the Dark Mother to hold us?

Absolutely, because by choosing to walk the path of awareness from which there is no return, we have always followed the call. That’s why we’re here. That’s what brought us here to the community.
There is a saying: We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

By following the call, no matter what, we make our contribution to the world. When we, as women and men, allow ourselves to feel and share the pain that wants to show itself and to be tenderly held in it, individually and collectively, we serve not only ourselves but also the greater good. When men and women wake up, it affects awareness. So we don’t just do the necessary work for ourselves. This allows us to move forward boldly.

It’s not just for me personally, it’s for the whole, which is to wake up from the pain we all feel. In this way I detach myself from the problem, I become the solution. Community is so important because we can hold together and witness the healing that happens when we are willing to face the pain and show up and be heard.

In order to start a new cycle of life, we need to let go of the burdens of the past. It is the opportunity to really experience life in a new way and no longer to disguise the old with good intentions. And to satisfy the longing that lives deep in our hearts. We’re never too old for that.

The intelligence of the annual cycles gives us this opportunity again and again. Just like the flowers and the trees. Can we trust that? We can and must, otherwise we wouldn’t be here.

Remembering this mystery is our task.
